Why? This helps our team get to work safely and efficiently, avoiding delays or potential hazards.Ensure all pets and valuables are secured during service
Why? We care about your belongings and furry friends! While we take care on-site, we can’t accept liability for accidents involving unsecured items or pets.Notify us of any hazards, underground utilities, overhead cables, or special conditions on the property
Why? Knowing about hidden risks helps us avoid accidents, injuries, and damage to your property.Ensure all permissions, notices, and fees required under local authority regulations are handled unless we’ve agreed to do this on your behalf
Why? Some jobs require permits or notices. Taking care of these ahead of time avoids legal complications and delays. We are not responsible for work you instruct us to do without the proper permits or permissionsCare for the natural environment. You must always inform us when you are aware of wildlife who have made a home on your property. We work outdoors because we love nature. We will not knowingly disturb any creatures who live with you, however important the project
Why? We love birds and animals. You may have paid for the property, but it is actually theirs too. Additionally, many wild animals are rightly protected by law in the UK.
Appointments & cancellationsAppointments will be scheduled in advance
Why? This ensures we’re prepared, and you know exactly when to expect us.At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations
Why? We set aside time for your project, so last-minute changes impact our schedule. This policy helps us stay fair to all customers.Late cancellations may result in half a day’s labour charges
Why? When we’ve set aside time and can’t reassign it quickly, our team still needs to be paid for their availability. At the end of the day we lose money if we cannot rebook work for that time due to short notice.We may reschedule due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, at no extra cost
Why? Outdoor work depends on the weather. If conditions aren’t safe or practical, we’ll adjust the schedule to maintain quality and safety—without charging extra.
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed
Why? Prompt payment allows us to continue delivering high-quality service and pay our team on time.Late payments are subject to a 5% monthly late fee
Why? This encourages timely payment and covers administrative costs of overdue accounts.We accept cash or bank transfers
Why? These are secure and efficient methods of payment that help keep things simple for everyone.Services may be paused or terminated for non-payment
Why? We need to ensure all projects are funded properly to keep our business sustainable.A 50% deposit is required for jobs quoted, unless the total exceeds £10,000—in which case a payment plan will be agreed
Why? Deposits help cover upfront costs and secure your spot in our schedule. Larger jobs require custom plans to keep everything clear and manageable.Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
Why? Material and labour costs can change, so this time frame keeps your quote accurate and fair.£1 a mile fuel charge on jobs that are further than 10 miles from Stonesfield.
Why? This is outside our usual working area and although we are happy to do the work still. It's just more expensive to get there! So for example if you are 12 miles away you will pay an extra charge of £4 a day.Work carried out at height incurs an additional charge of £10 per hour.Why? This is due to the increased risk and safety requirements involved when operating above ground level. Such tasks often require additional safety measures and extra time to ensure that all work is completed in a secure manner. This surcharge reflects the higher level of danger, responsibility and precaution necessary to perform height-related work safely.
Payment termsMaterialsA 20% admin fee applies to materials we order and use on-site
Why? This covers our time and effort in sourcing, ordering, and coordinating deliveries. You can avoid the fee by providing your own materials—we’re flexible!We’re happy to show records of material costs where the 20% admin fees were applied, if requested
Why? Transparency is important to us. We want you to feel confident that you’re getting fair value.If work is delayed due to incorrect/missing materials from the client, a standby fee will apply
Why? When our team is scheduled but can’t work, we still incur costs. This fee covers those unavoidable expenses. We also lose out on a day's work elsewhere. An example would be if we were to lay a base and the wrong types of material have been ordered and delivered to you.
We carry public liability and business insurance
Why? This protects both you and us in the event of an accident or damage—just ask if you’d like to know what’s covered.We are not liable for injuries from using the completed work
Why? Once a project is complete, it’s your responsibility to use and maintain it safely.No liability for damage caused by pre-existing conditions or customer negligence
Why? We can only take responsibility for our own work, not for issues that existed before or arise from misuse.Claims must be reported within 7 days of service completion
Why? Reporting quickly helps us respond effectively and resolve any concerns while everything is still fresh.No liability for defects caused by drought, landslip, tree roots, or severe weather
Why? These natural conditions are beyond our control and can impact even the best landscaping work.No responsibility for damage to services (gas, electrical, water, drainage) if not previously disclosed
Why? We rely on accurate information about underground services to avoid them—please let us know in advance.Planting and turf care is the customer’s responsibility after completion
Why? We’ll provide care guides on request, but the ongoing success of plants and turf depends on regular maintenance, watering, and care from you.
